six speed in a classic

Not eve seen the box yet but was just wondering, I have a 1994 wrx witch is a cable Speedo. Is the six-speed gearbox an electric one if how do you convert the box? Might sound like a thick question but I just don’t know pmsl thanks for any help John

iirc:
The mechanical fitting on your car simply fits the 6 speeder.
Go over to projects and do a search on the topic; I think John Banks answered this question about 3 months ago.

Remove the black electronic sensor, it just unscrews with an open spanner (think 19mm) withdraw the sensor and simply replace with the longer cable operated one. Once you start it is very straight forward

John you're running a FMIC right? The 6sp size restricts airflow so temps with a TMIC would rise
