WIFI - help please
 

Ok you all know that I am a muppet but I have excaped the hutch to ask a serious question or two......

I am looking into getting a laptop and want it to be one of those that I can use in the bedroom or the lounge without having to plug in the modem line and things.

Now can some please tell me what I would need to do to make my connection wireless.

I do intend to buy a laptop which has been Wireless enabled but what else do I have to get.

Also where would be the best place to buy the laptop from?

If on Cable get yourself a wireless router.

If on ADSL (internet down the phone) get yourself an ADSL router. This will replace the modem you have.
