I'll second that

Swen6 12 October 2005 09:56 PM

Typical UK Police though, out of the four or five versions of the Evo they get the slowest one!!!!

Alan C 12 October 2005 10:33 PM

OK. I'll say it.
It'll never happen. They'll want to have something;
  • Easier & cheaper to run
  • With lower service costs and intervals
  • More reliable and easier to live with
  • More practical
But just as quick...

I don't care how many bright stickers it has....if it doesn't have flashing blue lights as well as being fully marked and a uniformed officer driving, I ain't stopping.

AndiThompson 12 October 2005 11:06 PM

You won't have to, its a show car. Donated for taking to shows to promote road safety etc. Notice its parked outside a Mitsubishi dealer too and not a police officer in sight.

And the scoobies are used by the air ambulance people for a reason ;)

Anger 13 October 2005 12:20 AM

There's a plain police one on the M23, ive seen them pull people over

Dspeed 13 October 2005 12:34 AM

Least u can run n get away! Half way home he'll have to stop for an oil change!

Dyney 13 October 2005 12:51 AM

Errrrrr......

Guys as Anger said there is one on the M23/A27 and surounding area. Don't be so sure it's the "Slow" version" ;)
I suspect it was also stickered up for the recent conference in Brighton :)

MadDogWRX 13 October 2005 01:48 AM

A plain silver one is also around the Eastbourne area.

theotherphil 13 October 2005 09:52 AM

I always see Police vans in the local VW dealer and not a policeman in sight....I assume they are getting serviced though and are not show vans ;)

Moley 13 October 2005 12:24 PM

Have seen an unmarked silver Evo 8 260 twice on the M23 close to Gatwick

ru' 13 October 2005 01:32 PM

Unmarked silver/grey one near the A23/M23 I believe has its lair just off the A2300 (A23 to Burgess Hill).

Name and shame - the reg plate is, AFAIK, WX04 LGU.

It has an additional aerial on the roof, and normally has mesh blinds down over the rear screen.

Lets be careful out there...

Do they not have number plates though? ;)

Listy 13 October 2005 06:53 PM

Yeah I live in East Sussex Near Battle and I've had the Silver Evo parked just up the road from my house on a few occasions now.

I always Wave :)

Just to let though know they're busted ;)

what gets me is the police wrote on the way it is, now before anyone starts, i know the reason why its like that, but for fu** sake, if the lights and graphics dont give it away first, ad say your pretty stupid and the just because police is wrote so you can see it in your RVM aint gonna make a hape of a difference lol

EVOLUTION 13 October 2005 08:18 PM

EVOLUTION 26 October 2005 04:03 PM

and we paid for all this sh**.

so, we should all do fiddle work, we can get more money as we wont have to pay tax and NI, therefore we can afford to buy even faster cars or mod them even further, and the best bit, the BBB wont be able to afford any of these machines to catch us lol
