I have used them many times and never had a problem with any of them, they are all a good bunch :D I also travel further than you to get there :D

Have you stopped to think he may have been having a bad day? Bloody hard work being pleasant to everyone and giving everyone 100% attention when you have a 101 things to do.

BS 12 October 2005 11:40 PM

Hey ease up, what are you complaining about? Job's done car works well. Why should Powerstation give you a discount or are you saying they should pay your petrol money? I travel further than that and a damn site faster!

Powerstation for me (special circumstances) has been great, and they have helped me considerably win my Class in competition with my Sti v3.
It is a busy place, and prices are stated and to be paid, just like a shop; the product is on offer for X so you pay that or leave it and buy elsewhere.

Bottom line is the car works well, you are pleased with the car so in reality all is well.

Graham.

Did they drop your car the required 40mm for handling improvements?

where did that 40mm come from ??
He seems to be having a rant about it in this thread.
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=429018

I believe he was after 30mm but eibachs seem to drop 20-25mm.
Perhaps they settle to 30mm if that's the drop Eibach state..

Hi Arfan,
You asked for the various products to be fitted to your car, which we did well and they work well too from what you are saying.
Curtis who fitted your products showed you everything that was being done.
So from that I guess you should of known exactly what was being done to your car!
I liased with you over the price of all the bits before commencing work on your car, if you were not happy with the price we quoted you, why did you not say there and then?
Asking for discount is being a little but cheeky, and quite what you are moaning about I don't know as we knocked off a whole HOURS labour which is £50+vat..
If you have a problem with us, tell US.
We are always willing to do our very best to put what ever is wrong, right..
At the end of the day you were charged EXACTLY what you were quoted before you even left home, with the exeption of the strut brace which you decided on when you got here and you weren't even charged for it to be fitted!!!!!

Dirk @ Powerstation.

Some people would moan because the sun kept coming up each morning.. Powerstation are top people.. Arfan, get a life..!

Can't say fairer than that :)

Sometimes things do not meld together 100%, and no real harm done to the car or person(s) IMHO.

I have said before, Powerstation are one of 2 suppliers on this forum who open their doors and their products (and service is a big part of that) to everyone on here.(API is the other)

I had full confidence in PS before I ended up with them working on my car, a faith well justified. If Curtis had got it all wrong it was my neck at risk while I was racing the car on track. I'm still here and I will go back to PS soon with no hesitation.

Graham.

Interesting you come on here to slate them, and say the customer service was awful when your punctuation, grammar and spelling leaves so much to be desired, it seems you are unable to communicate. Perhaps that is why the customer service was so bad in your eyes - you were not able to understand them and they you? Just a thought...

BIG THUMBS UP TO POWERSTATION.

140 odd miles to get there but well worth it. A real nice bunch of guys...

And they always deliver the goods :)

Carlos13 13 October 2005 04:09 PM

My initial experience of Powerstation was not a very good one. I'm not going to go into it now, and its fairly minor, and arguably not their problem at all, in fact I haven't even mentioned it to them. It did put me off going there for suspension work though. More fool me.

However I ended up there after having ASTs etc installed elsewhere, there was a problem (that turned out to be nothing to do with their parts) and Powerstation could not do enough for me. Booked me in on a saturday at short notice. I then spent most of the day with Curtis, explaining all sorts to me. It was an absolute education and now constitutes the best piece of automotive customer service I have EVER experienced, by a mile. Curtis was completely open and encouraged me to watch him work, not minding me interrupting to ask questions. They even bought me pie and chips.

I would now never consider going anywhere else for suspension work, its only the distance that will stop me using them routinely for other work.

Jim_B 13 October 2005 06:12 PM

Can heartily recommend PS too.. Been there for a rolling road day + fit braided brake lines, ALK, bumpsteer mod & alignment... Knowledgeable and friendly with good advice for further mods too. Hopefully - funds permitting - will be back there soon for a turbo upgrade + remap !

Dirk
refs. to the work on my car i am happy with that but refs to the customer service it looks like you didn't want to know regarding the work getting done on my car. You thought it was much better to be sat in front of your p.c. regarding the price, if you were in my position you would want a discount so you tell me what is so cheeky about asking for discount. Dirk whereever i go i always look at the customer service, the lad who did the work on my car THUMBS UP for him!

Thanks
Arfan
