Acid etch primer spray can, where from?
Anyone know where I can get a can of spray acid etch primer from, tried halfords, and various others but with no luck, any where online I can get it from? been searching for the past 2 weeks, cracking me up.
Cheers. |
A local paint factor/supplier may be able to help. Plenty make up aerosols.

Some Halfords stock the U-Pol Acid-8 Etch Primer, if you ask them they may get some in for you, IIRC it was about 12-14 quid for a 1 litre aerosol. Failing that give U-Pol a call to find out where you can get it from

Try also models shops: many models are of brass, and acid etch paint is the only way to get ordinary paint to stick;)

Works a treat on certain (s)camera lenses too ;)

Wouldn't know personally, of course.
The tyre method carries the added problem that if caught, you're for the high jump:( IIRC, someone was caught last year with the tyre and petrol, but BEFORE he did the deed, hiding near the camera. Police did him for reckless arson, and he got a year's imprisonment, first offence and everything. Attempted arson more like......... Anyway, it's obvious that these people are desperate for the money, they'll go to ANY lengths to defend the scameras. BTW: anyone know what that Scottish MP that actually did set fire to his hotel room got? Wanna bet he got let off? Alcazar |

It has its moments. Just a pity the policing of vandalism and anti-social crime isn't matching the conviction rate for some high-profile offenses.
