Buying a Vacuum....

Best one to get?

Bag or Bagless?

(Did a search, but most of the threads are pretty old.)

TIA

Well I bought a bagless Dyson. I think the Mrs finds it easy enough to use;)

Yep they do :)

Just found a website where they are only £94  , I hate it when I've bought something then find it loads cheaper somewhere else

I think I paid about £160, but that was 2 years ago, so I suppose they are bound to be cheaper now

People slate them but never had a problem with our DC04 Dyson, probably get the DC07 for that price now.

Julz1983 01 October 2005 06:37 PM

Yeah I was looking at the 07, but I'm going to wait til my 04 packs in, but I think it's going to go on forever lol coz the only thing I've ever needed to do to it was change the fuse in the plug!

I the new Dyson 'Ball' model today, and have to say it looked pretty good.

Daz34 01 October 2005 07:23 PM

Had a Dyson DC08 Animal for about 5 months now & I am still impressed with it.

Get a Henry, they're awesome! OK they don't look that cool but they're only £99 ish, can be used with or without a bag and they suck like...a very sucky thing! The hose and leccy lead are sooooooo long too, I can do the whole (tinpot) house from one plug socket!

Where can you get the Dyson for £94??

DaveMiddleton 01 October 2005 07:36 PM

Expensive but MILES better than anything I have ever used previously (such as Dyson) is an Oreck. Only available via the factory I think. Incredible performance.

From there, refurbished with 6 mths or 12 mths warranty, but to extend warranty doesn't cost much, I've just extended mine after the 2 yrs was up, and I bet even though they are refurbished they are just as good. My mam had to get a refurbished washing machine until she could get a new one, she thought it wouldn't last long, that was about 6 years ago, she still has it!!

ive got a dc04 with a mixture of wood floors, laminate, lino and carpet its not bad but i borrowed my ma n pa's sebo and it did a much better job of the house:)
