Rover 75 Diesel

Any Good?

Need to get a good value motorway chugger, heard that one of these may be the answer.

Does anyone know anything about them?

They've got the 115bhp BMW lump, and they're rated for economy and a smooth drive although performance is a bit off the pace compared with similar repmobiles and family barges. Lots of toys and space though.

Spare parts aren't supposed to be the big issue that was rumoured.

Try www.dieselcar.com for online roadtests (you need Acrobat to read the tests) which will give you more of an idea.

Most newer ones will be 130bhp usually badged CDTi instead of CDT.

It's only a software upgrade and you can get the official upgrade on a second hand 115bhp version.

If you want a comfy car to munch the miles there is no beter place to be for the money.

I ran a 75 V6Auto for a year and it was perfect, not a thing went wrong, drives nice and you can sit in it all day and still get out fresh.

Cheers
Lee
