Info req - Subaru Mudflaps v Scotts Flaps

Hi all,
Probably been posted a million times before but if poss I would like some clear info.
I am considering buying the "REAL" subaru mud flaps for my sti, However I have been told that scott lows are really good & cheaper. Although the price is important just how good are the real subaru ones?

Is there any differences? if so what are they.
Are they the same size?etc......

Some pics of Scotts v Real ones would be good.

Cheers

I am one of the numpties that paid for the genuine STI items, and to be honest I would do it again as the quality is second to none.
I am in no way saying that Scotts's are an inferior item as I have seen a set and they are very good.

thickness of the material used possibly is one as I have been told my flaps dont flap or bend slightly when the car is moving at speed and Pete(Warby) who has some of Scott's fitted do slightly.
Decals are different. The STI ones are reflective dont know why???

I will without doubt be in the minority because alot of people have purchased Scott's items and are more than satisfied plus they will probably be available a damn sight quicker than mine. I had to wait 3 months as they only make them to order!!

Just my 10pence worth

Scott Lowe tock the originals and used them as templates, and had the metal brackets made, so there is no difference in the way they fit.
But the real winner is, Original £350-£400, or £150 from Scott Lowe.

Also Scott Lowe can't be that shabby as they supply Mitsubishi, yeah the company not the owners, with Mud Flaps.

[I should be on comission the amount of praise i give them:D]

I have some of Scott Lowe's on my Classic and they are very good indeed. They certainly doesn't look/feel/perform like an inferior copy of the Subaru items. Personally, I would just refuse to pay £300+ for mudflaps as I think it's simply too much to ask!

dealer who put mine on scott's said they were same as subaru ones, even if they get damaged-mine have been up dirt tracks doing house visits and to nurburgring it seems daft to spend £300+ on mudflaps even £150 is a push
if you pay £300 are you going to be worried in case you catch them? they are mudflaps

If you decide to pay a ransom for mudflaps, what you gonna do when you first catch one on a kerb etc........ me thinks.:norty:

they are different honestly mate, when you compare the two together/side by side as it were, but as you said £350 for 4 flaps is expensive
