I get that deal all year round. Even got an Optimax pluspoints card, not the normal card. I guess you have to use so much Optimax per month to get Optimax card but dunno how much. They just sent it me in the post and upgraded my regular pluspoints account.

I've had the optimax card for a couple of years but what can you actually do with the points, how many do you need to get money off petrol?

If you have accumulated enough points and want to chose the money-off-fuel option, next time they send you a statement just give them a ring and they will send you a voucher to take in to your Shell garage. I assume the system works the same way for the other discount options.
