Is the Bug eye Slower than the Classic?
 
I have a my99 turbo and it seems the bug eye is just that bit slower? I'm running on one cat with just a pannel filter so probable looking at what

215 standard?

maybe 230 bhp ?

If they are both running same power then yes as the bug is slightly heavier than the classic.

I have a classic & bugeye, and imo the classic seems much quicker than the bugeye.....

My type R, felt 'Nice and Nimble'

My Blobeye feels 'firmer and wider' - if that makes sense. Depsitite having more power and defibitely 'being' faster (if not feeling it).

I think I read that the weight difference equated to 35BHP??? on a 300BHP car.

Yes it is; the classic is about 180kgs lighter for a start, which shows on the 0-100 time in particular. The actual difference is probably not as great as the subjective difference, which is due to the much better refinment of the new age cars which serves to disguise some of the speed. Also the map on the new age cars appears to be less "agressive" in the way the boost chimes in.

This can be completely transformed by a Decat and remap! OR PPP though.
