Under Pressure
Just bought a new tyre pump from Argos, its even got a digital gauge, with auto cut off.
I was going to stick, the Front and Rear pressures of my WRX and VW Golf on it so I don’t have to go scrating around for the correct pressures in PSI every time. The listing in the golf hand book was in BAR not PSI Can anybody tell me if you can get that chart online, that you see near air pumps in garages?????? I am looking for: Golf 16SL 175/80R14 88H Dulop Impreza WRX 215/45/ZR17 91Y Yokohama AVS Thanks Scoobydaddy :) |
WRX (Bugeye) 17 Inch Standard Wheels. Front 33PSI (3.3 Bar) and Back 32 PSI (3.2Bar) - this inflation rate is per manual and sticker inside my MY01 Bugeye and is applicable for all loading factors - that is either just two front passengers or fully loaded and luggage in boot.

33 psi = 2.27527 bar 32 psi = 2.206322 bar The PSI is correct to my manual, but the BAR is wrong, something wrong with your figures M8 ? It seems Europe (VW) are using BAR, and others (Subaru) use PSI Scoobydaddy |

Yes this has been a strange, you would have thought a simple question, regarding safety had an easy answer.
I was not sure if different manufacturers gave different pressure ratings As for the PSI – BAR thing, thought I was going mad. Seems Europe are well mad, it’s hard to spot the engine size VW Golf in the manual, its not listed as 1.6SE but as 74 KW Petrol engine. But now I have both pressures stuck on the pump in PSI. :) Scoobydaddy |
