Got back the joy of driving

Just had an epic afternoon driving my new STI (new to me anyway) back from the reluctant ex-owners house. Had to wait a week but the wait was worth it. Spent 4 hours driving back down all the decent roads between High wycombe and Wiltshire. I've had plenty of reasonably fast motors before but it's the first Subaru i've owned and i'm totally bowled over by it.

All u need now Dreds is to get a PPP put on it then you'll never stop smiling ;-)

Somebody has done me the pleasure of putting the PPP on already. The thing goes like stink. No doubt there are faster things out there but to me it is plenty fast enough. It certainly feels faster than the M3 EVO I used to have.

I know what you mean. I drove to York a while back to pick up some alloys wheels from merlin motorsport. What a fantastic drive it was its amazing what speeds you can achieve on poor roads in these cars and it feels totally safe.

People seem to slag off the impreza on this site, saying this car is quicker, that car is quicker etc etc. (boring!)

But these 'hot hatch' types will never reward you or leave you 'blown away' in the manner that a blast down some twisty roads in your scooby will give you. These hot up cars will also feel like a loud teeth rattler when driven to the shops as well, the impreza shines in this area too.

Enjoy your new car mate.
