Scoobyclinic Rolling Road Day - 15/10/05

As the title says :) Not much more information than that at the moment as I need to fully organise things with Adam & Kev. What I do know is that ideally it should be no more than a dozen scoobs (more may be possible but i'd need to check) as you will each get 2,3 maybe 4 runs each + advise on performance enhancements, fixing problems, understanding everything on the dyno graph etc... I'll get further info over the next couple of days.

The cost of the day will be £50 per car, which if you think about it is cheap at half the price if your car gets on 3 times :)

I know i may be out of order, but wouldnt this be better on another day seeing as its the same day as the Blackpool Big One, which quite a few people are attending ? :p

MAFFA 18 September 2005 05:34 PM

Never knew that. just got asked by Adam if I could organise one for that day. Mmmm maybe not the best day then :D

and it seems a bit pricey
IMHO

Hi Maffa,

I'm interested just so I can get a baseline figure prior to any mods that I do. Most probably be the lowest powered one there.

PALATINE,

It may seem a bit pricey but if you've been to many rolling road days they'll charge you £30-£40 for one blast on the rollers, hand you a piece of paper with your BHP on it and that's it. They'll get through 20-30 cars without any feedback at all.

The whole idea of keeping this to about a dozen is so that it is more customer focused, they take care of your car and over the course of the day you may get up to 4 runs on the rollers :) Like I said earlier they will talk you through everything on your printout and offer advice on mods, fixing problems, anything really :)

A bit more information on the day:

Arrival time - 9.30am
Start time - 10.00am

The rolling road is a Dyno Dynamics unit. Details of which can be found at their website here http://www.dyno.com.au/. This is a very new bit of kit :)

Details will be printed and graphed of:

Fly Wheel Power
Fly Wheel Torque
Road Wheel Power
Boost
AFR trace

Participants will also get the opportunity to sit in the passenger seat of their car whilst it's on the rollers. This you don't very often get elsewhere.

As for lunch on the day...well there's a chippy not to far away and orders will be taken and a run done ;) Now who can resist that :D:D

im interested to see how my jdm wagon actually runs like...but im on nights that week so wouldnt be able to attend till early afternoon at the earliest, depending where this venue actually is located,£50 for a couple of runs and some advise is tempting as it cost me more than that when i had my bike done....
