Can anyone help with VIN plate and Engine & Transmission numbers? For a 1994 WRX STi-1 ? import

Should they be the same or are they different?

VIN Engine EJ20-GDW2HE
Engine stamped No EJ20 AB 8L
8L AB 22322

VIN Transmission TY752VB3CA
Transmission Stamped No TY752VB3AA
645715

VIN & Stamped Chassis No match

Can anyone say if these are OK before I purchase car

Roman engine no looks wrong to me did you get it from the back of the engine under the intercooler stamped in to the casting
The engine and chassis no. are not the same i/e like a ford so should be ok hope this helps

Sorry, can't help or comment on STI-1 one's,
but just for info, my MY94 WRX 5-door (non-STI) has the following

VIN Engine EJ20-GDW1NE
Engine stamped AB 96 and 96 AB 21211
stamped at the rear 961837
Cast-in at the front EJ-20 and big cast-in numbers 6244 (under power steering resevoir)

VIN Transmission TY752VB3CA
'Paper' labels on transmission TY752VB3CA and 708812

PS Thare was some discussion that all early WRX might have sand-cast closed deck blocks, not just the STI ?
My block has a 'smooth' finish and flashing marks consistent with die cast, not the rougher? finish of sand cast
But that doesn't necessarily prove anything
