Hot Tody (the drink)
 

Feeling a bit crook (bad cold/flu-ish) so I made a hot tody (sp?).

Tasted not too good so I may have got the proportions/ingredients wrong.

How do you make yours ??

MOrning, The recipe I have from my scottish father is:

tot of whiskey (makes u sleepy)
squeeze of lemon
dessertspoon honey (soothes the throat)
top up with hot water

Russia - large shot of vodka, with one-third of the glass full of ground black pepper.

Stir it to distribute the pepper, drink the whole thing in one gulp and jump straight into bed.

After feeling like the top of your head has been lifted off by Fred Dibnah, and sweating like a pig the whole night, you may find that your cold has run a mile by morning.

As given to me by a french woman, and it had the same effect as the Russian one:

In a half pint glass, one third fill with dark Rum. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice, and either sugar or honey, approx 4teaspoons of either. Bring to top with hot (not boiling) water, and drink down as fast as possible, retire to bed for a very sweaty night!
