new scooby owner in need of help

Hi all just recently got a 95 wrx and have noticed a problem.
The engine check light stays on and the engine hunts. I had a look and could not seem to any obvious air leaks.
cheers

Russell

Check all the connections to the MAF, sounds like a leak somewhere !

Mass Air Filter/filament

You'll find it just after the air filter housing, like a small Black box.

Sorry, but no one has suggested getting the ECU error codes via the check engine light (CEL) to find out why it is on.

Mine hunted whilst the coolant temp sensor was playing up.

Do a search on here about error codes and re-setting ECU, you use the set of black connectors under dash at drivers side to get codes and the additional green set to re set ECU in combination with other procedures.
