Need Metal Gear Knob

The stitching at the back of my MY03 STi gear knob sticks up and is uncomfortable.

Is there a nice metal gear knob (a la TVR, Audi TT etc) that wouldn't look out of place in the car? Is there a prodrive one or something that won't look too "halfords".

Thanks

M.

Subaru do a genuine ProDrive item.

Mine cost £45 ish from dealer. Unscrew old one, fit new one. It's a momo item, with a ProDrive "P" insert in a recess on the top.

Round and smooth alloy item.

Prodrive Gear Knob

I bought mine from Cheam Motors bout 2 years ago. Looks nice but gets too hot to touch in the hot weather and bloody freezing when its cold!

you could always check out the MOMO options on their website.
I blagged a Race Air Leather Ali from ebay the other day for £18, compared to £45+ at Halfrauds. Matches my MOMO steering wheel rather nicely I think.

Remember the STI and WRX have different requirements for Gear Knobs.

I've got one of the prodrives ones, in black, and it's a much nicer feeling than the standard leather one. Does get a bit toasty in direct sunlight and a bit BLOODY COLD in the winter.

hi. I've just bought one off ebay and it only cost around £20 and looks well good. Matchs the silver on your dash and dosen't look tacky!!

Bryan Haite at Cheam gave me that one free when I bought my MY04 WRX last year, much better than the standard one.

(Copy and paste the link Otto)

Edited to say I don't think it's a Prodrive one though, certainly no markings on it ??

I bought the "Momo Sphere Aluminium" - I know it's from Halfords but it does look and feel good plus it also matches the steering wheel.

It's a bit pricey but you may get one cheaper on eBay.
