New Sti 3k on the clock going back to dealers

Well just have to rant at someone to get this off my chest... my 1st owned scooby ... 05 plate STi had it now around 6 months and its only got just over 3k on the clock. Terrible noise from back rear passenger supsension, has to take a day off work to take the car in to get fault diagnosed. I live in Wigan and the dealer is Preston so the milage their and back and the juice the STI's drink is all unwanted costs on my part. Spent literally 1minute in the car at dealers for them to diagnose fault. Taking it in on Monday to get the job done (another return petrol journey I have to cough up for), to top this off I have a courtesy car which I had to insure. My insurance company want £20 for the privelage of insuring their car. I then suspect the courtesy car will have the fuel light on when started so I will be off to the garage to fill up for the day for a trip to Bolton to go to work. Hopefully the job will be done within the day so its back to Preston from Bolton and more fuel.
All in all I reckon with my day off, fuel etc I am going to be at least £50-100 out of pocket. Really naffs me off that on a new car with 3k on the clock thats cost me 25k new I have to then shell out my time and an extra £100 to get it fixed. No real fault of the dealers but I am sooooo pi$$ed off.

Is it just me or am I letting it get me wound up? How would anyone else feel?

Has anyone else had these problems on a new car, did they end up shelling out more of their hard earned to get it sorted?.... more importantly is there anything you can do to get anything back from Subaru etc for the inconvenience other than the fact that u hope it never happens again?

Common fault Allan re suspension mates just had his done. Doubt you'll see a penny from Subaru. They always make it feel like they're doing you a really big favour some how.

My 03 WRX is back at the dealers (bought it from them 3 months ago)for the 3rd time in a week and a half , 40 minute drive each way , Subaru assistance been 3 times to my house too in a week and a half . Immobilser is playing up , and the car is at the dealers at the moment , and I don't feel confident that I'll see it over the weekend either . As you say it's all hastle and wasted trips which all add up . At least it's covered under warranty though I guess.

And the news you really don't want to hear is that there is every likelyhood thew won't actually be able to fix it.

Prob is fixed under warranty if its still valid etc.... they had to order the part in though for me m8. So 2 trips all in all. Will be same for you I expect. I think I heard on here top mount on suspension is the cause of the noise. Dunno if thats what gone on mine. Its a wierd problem at low speed terrible creaking and back end jumps about all over the place :/

Ey up Chris :)

Car is brand new so wouldnt need anyone else to look at it until its out of warranty. Presume the garage u mention isnt a scoob dealer?
