What brakes?

I need to replace the rear disc's and pad's on my 99MY Turbo.

The fronts are std, but ok at the moment.

When I replace the rears, should I upgrade them?, but would that then make them more effective than the fronts?
Should I replace them with std parts, and upgrade the fronts at a later date?Replace fronts and rears with upgraded parts?

What's the best VFM kit out there? I only do fast road driving.

Any advice would be greatly received.

I think the general advice is that its best to have the same pads front and rear if at all possible, uprating the fronts wil have more efect than the rear as that's the end that does most of the braking.

For road use, Stick with the std Discs and consider pads by either Ferrdo (sp?) or Pagid, both highly regarded. Braided lines will help improve pedal feel and make sure you've got decent brake fluid in there too DOT 5.1.

Btw, I'm just passing on advice I've got from someone much more knowledgable than me!! :-)

Try www.camskill.co.uk Got a new pair of vented rear discs a couple of months ago for my my99. £45 a pair. With ebc pads and delivery the whole lot was about £110. Bargain or wot?
