Starting prob when hot
 

I have a prob starting when hot anty ideas anyone
Does anyone know of a garage that has a diagnostic for scobby prepared to use it on an import in the south wales area?

Ive heard of that before?

Sure its a crank sensor fault?

Yep crank sensor.. you can try cleaning it and problem show go away and return later when it is dirty again.

crank sensor is on the front on the engine between the pulleys with a 10mm bolt holding it on and one eletrical plug. The cam sensor looks the same but is easier to spot as it is below the oil filler.

Unplug and undo bolt and it lifts up and out.. clean with wd40, white spirit etc..

The fitting is plastic so don't overtighten when refitting.

had the same problem about two months ago starts first time in the morning or when been left for a while get some one to try starting the car whilst you wobble the connector on the crank sensor it should start if it does then all i did was take the two connecting pins out of the connector block use some long nose pliers to close them up but be careful not to crush them then connect all back together job done if this however does not work then as mentioned in the above thread it might be your actual crank sensor. hope this helps

I've got the same problem only it's the cam sensor connector that is the cause of it. How exactly did you get the connecting pins out of the connector block?
