Windows Vista Beta - installation?
 

I'n running Virtual PC 2004 to install Vista Beta

I've got past the hard disk partitioning problem (no partition available)

Its now seemingly stuck on a screen saying "Completing Installation" "Do not restart the computer"

Its been on this screen for an hour now.

Any ideas ?

I had problems too i dont think it works properly on virtual PC yet, give it a while longer it may be thinking:)

It finished doing its thang, and now works fine. Install the Virtual PC add-ons for the OS and everything worked as it should.

how does it run on virtual pc? it ran like dog turd on my dev pc (athlon 1.4ghz and 512 meg of ram)

I wasn't impressed with it on a P4 2.4 with 1GB RAM, but I'm putting that down to it being a Beta ... hopefully.

Runs terribly on virtual PC. Very very slow. Not impressed, lets hope the real thing is better.

I'm running Virtual PC on my dev PC:
Athlon 2800
1GB DDR
Radeon 9800 Pro

Virtual PC will be seen by Vista as using a Trio 64 graphics card so offers none of the transparency or speed of the 3D accelerator cards required by Vista
