Too "sensitive" or worn-out steering? Please comment.

I have this little problem: when cornering tight (90 to 180 degrees of steering wheel turn) I feel every bump on the road. It feels like sort of non-absorbed shocks transferred directly to the steering wheel. There is also audible noise (rattle) comming from somewhere in the steering in the above situations. Subaru technician told me to exchange left axial joint which I did but with no result.

Have anybody experienced similar problem? Or is it normal with Imprezas?

Thanx, Ivosh

i have similiar problems in my scooby, have fitted uprated springs, bushes and reset the alignment to prodrive, this has helped but still feels very sensitive and has lost some of its feel, still,it now corners much flatter and quicker than before

Thank you, dmnbrm. Anyone else? Everyone touches the steering wheel when cornering I suppose. Please help.
