Upgrade disks n pads?

Now then Fella's,

I'm thinking of buying some EBC grooved n drilled disk's and red stuff pads.
They would be going on an 94 classic with two pot calipers.

Would I be wasting my time and money due to the two pot calipers or would it be a good improvment on the ****e standard disks n pads?

hey mate

i 1st upgraded from standard to ebc front discs and redstuff pads, great at first but after awhile found them to be crap. thats just me though i know many are happy with them. I think they are the cheapest and most value for money upgrade for discs and pads but if you like 'spirited' driving along back lanes they dont seem to last long and i got major brake fade after just a couple of minutes with a very spongy peddle.

I had already put s/steel braided hoses on, brake support bracket on the master cylinder and 5.1 fluid through and had all bled up etc.
Eventually changed them after the pads were only 2/3rds used but cracked etc from over heating.

Nowe running tar-ox 20 groove and ferodo ds2500 track pads. what can i say buy these for your next set-up the grip and temperature capeabilitys are great. pads bite when cold and red hot, i get not one bit of fade etc from them. Glad i got them, worth paying that bit extra. :)

Same as above, had black diamond disks and red stuff pads.

They were ****e. Now using Ferrodo DS2500's and they are awesome.

Please dont go down the ebc red stuff route.

As above I have ebc grooved and pitted disks and red stuff pads, not a great improvement over standard. The pads have worn out in around 3 months. I'm going to try the Ferrodo DS2500's or might even go back to standard discs and pads for some longevity til I can afford six pots.

Steer clear of EBC.

Best off using the money to buy some 4-pots and some standard discs + good pads.

I'd like to upgrade to four pots, they seem to fetch a good price though.
