Clutch pedal problems!!??

My clutch has developed an interesting problem. It clicks!! Not a problem i hear you cry but it's a loud definite movement click from the top of the pedal to the joining rod thing, you can actually see the end of the rod/bracket move when it clicks. It always does it about 3 inch from the clutch rest on the upstroke and is driving me nuts!!

Any ideas how to get rid? I've tried wd40 and it doesn't help at all!!

Whack a load of grease in and around the joint, wiggle it about plenty so the grease works its way into the linkage - might help, or try copper grease around the area ?

Mine does this randomly, at any point during the clutch pedal travel. Sometimes it does it every time I press it, other times it goes the whole day wihout doing it.

Very annoying, local garage could not fix it. So it looks like a new mechanism.

Mine's a UK classic btw.

Thanks for the suggestion mate! I'll give it a go.

Anyone else had similar problems and fixed it?

They all do that sir :D

Mine did it for a while, couldn't be arsed to look at it so just left it.

Then it stopped doing it completely after about 6months.

See - ignorance does work sometimes ;)
