Bullet Cams

Going to do a track day in a couple of months and was looking to buy a bullet cam for some good footage [also for use on me mates caterham].

Has anyone got any info/experience on where to get them, compatibility with Sony MV [not essential], resolution.

Would like to get some good footage but haven't the first idea on how to set it up.

Thanks

Any reason for not getting a screen mount for a standard Video Camera or are you looking to have a front and rear view / speedo view combined or something?

Great little bit of kit.
Alternative lenses available.

Your DV must have an AVin though.....

Was considering doing both. Most trackday hosts don't like cameras dangling in cars anyway so was going to hook it up so that I could have both views.

How are they powered, from the ones I have looked at they all come with a jack cable for power ??

Can either power them from the fag lighter or 8x AA batteries, or one of those 9v square jobbies although I've heard the power doesn't last as long.

 never used me fag lighter but should do the job. It sounds as if you know something about cams, any idea of the best lens (mm)

This is interesting as I would like to set up a reversing camera on the jeep for the wife. Not that she can't park it or anything ;)
Would these cameras suit this purpose ?
