TD05 Repair kit £40 delivered
 

Ok, as per the last group info we can get the TD05 turbo rebuild kits from Melett at a very good price. Would have been cheaper but they only want to deal with one person so i ahve to pay upfront with carriage to me then post out to you guys.

Chris from Melett has said the kit prices will increase after this GB so if you need one some time soon best to get in now. The price is based on 5 people min, could work out cheaper depending if we get more people and postage costs are as high....

Just to clarify this repair kit is the one featured in the PDF on this page (click the TD05 link for the PDF). Part number 1401-405-750.

Cheers Ron, we should be able to at least get 5 given the number of TD05s out there (16,18 or 20g). Must just be put off by rebuilding it themselves, going off those instructions the hardest bit is getting the turbine housing off ;)

PS are you happy about the balancing now.... saw the post ebfore the edit. The article describes how to go about marking up the wheels etc to avoid rebalancing. But i may pay to have it balanced properly anyway.

i had read about sum other kits where they come pre balanced
i think it was replacement wheels and stuff? and they were notched so everything could be reasembled in true

did not relise these kits had no replacement wheels and stuff

i never balanced my vf23 whern i built it from a vf28/vf24 and a vf22 (had 3 broken turbos so made one good one lol) and thats been good for about 20k miles at 1.4bar :eek:

So what happens come the 17th then bud, as it looks as though it would be a good benefit to do this just now, as the top mount has to go away for some work on it, to be done?

Once we have the 5, i'll place the order on the 17th. Think they have them in stock so you'd get it a few days after depending on postage times (i have to post out to you guys).

hi TONE LOC any chance of ordering me one as i am in middle of major rebuild on my scooby wrx i know not been a member long but i think APIDAVE will vouch for me as have been in long conversation with him today about where to go with my engine, any i will pay you asap if you can give me some details please please?
