Can't make next week as I'm away - is this going to be a regular thing ??

M6 Junc 27 - yeah - Leeds is local enough http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

ChrisB 17 July 2001 01:49 PM

I hadn't paid much attention as I thought it was miles away but Autoroute says 53.8 miles.

Might come along then if there is a party to gate crash - anything planned Michelle? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

TonyNesta 18 July 2001 08:10 AM

Thanks for the support people.

The reason I don't do these meets on a Friday, is that everyone goes out with their mates and gets bladdered/curried/kebabed (ie. no driving involved) on Fridays, so attendance wouldn't be up to much.

As for regularity, I'd like to do them once a month, I aim to do them once every two months, I actually do them once every four months ! Just busy with the usual excuses: family, work, knackered etc.

See you all tonight !!!!!!!!!!!

GaryC 18 July 2001 08:48 AM

Won't be able to make it after all - at home with a Viral Infection http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

ChrisB 18 July 2001 05:17 PM

Any chance of some last minute directions?

I would e-mail Tony (as per his message) but his e-mail is hidden!

ChrisB.

super slider 18 July 2001 05:52 PM

Chris
can't help ! but I'm just going to Parbold 3 miles west of jnt 27 and asking directions to the pub.

GaryC 18 July 2001 05:54 PM

Head west from Jct 27 and you will get to the pub on the right hand side after 5 minutes or so. Dead easy, right on top of the Hill.

TonyNesta 19 July 2001 12:30 AM

...my detector never went off........!

TonyNesta 19 July 2001 09:37 AM

Many thanks to everyone for turning up last night, we had more than a dozen people. Nice to see the 'usual suspects' and a few new faces as well. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

I'll try to make them a bit more regular in future !

Cheers,

T

A good night.

Thanks for putting up with a couple of 'Southerners' for a few hours http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Got home about 1.30am after taking the scenic route home via our local 24 hour Tescos.

Q. Is the speed camera at the bottom of the hill going into Parbold a radar based Gatso? Banshi said he got flashed by it but Slider didn't get anything on his radar dectector.

ChrisB.

Darren Thompson 19 July 2001 10:23 AM

Thanks Tony for last night again and good to meet the Shandy supping southerners, as for the speed camera if you turn left out of the pub towards the M6 the answer is no to speed camera there is not one there, if you turned right then I think there is a camera.

Darren.
