As the title says,

Anyone going down to the SIDC track day on
the 18th Feb?

Thought we would go down and spectate and
see whats involved with a track day and
see if we can get the video camera working
this time.

If anyone fancies going and meeting up
somewhere along the way that would be great.
We would have two places in the car if
anyone needs a lift and picking up between
Scarborough/York/and down the A1/M1 to
Donny.

Cheers

Chris C.

Hi Chris,

There are 2 other cars joining me but we we're meeting up at Howden to join the M62 as one car is coming fron Hull. Any ideas?

HI
I fancy going, what about meeting at Wooley Edge services, the first ones on the M1 after the M62 junction ( quite possibly the first south bound Services?).

Does anyone know what times are involved?

Otis, bob,

Sorry I havn't replied - been away skiing on
a late minute job. No Turbo's seen in Austria!

Ok Otis - would seem like I'll be coming
over Driffield/Market Weighton way to Howden
so could meet you there.

Bob.T - don't know about times yet but I
assume it starts around 11AM ish - Otis
may know more.
Well be better to meet at the services after
where the M18 joins the M1 (after junc 31)
Woodhall services I think.

Let us know

Chris C.

I am going down, proberly on the 17th, anybody got an idea how long it takes from Wigan and best route ?

Im on track so want to get there early.

Matt

Type R 11 February 2001 02:08 PM

Depending on weather track action starts about 09.30am, at Oulton it started at 11.00 due to the frost. Unlikely to be a problem at Donnington.

Otis 11 February 2001 06:30 PM

Chris,

One of our crowd is on track so he needs to be there for the drivers briefing. That means we'll be passing Howden at around 7.15am http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif. Early I know so its your call. More the merrier as far as we're concerned but we'll understand if you want to go a bit later. On this kind of timetable we'll be passing Woodhall Services just before 8am.

Let me know.

Otis.

I'm happy to meet whoever, whereever at whatevertime, within reason, let me know, Bob http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

HUNTY 11 February 2001 07:15 PM

Matt,

Head down the M6 to junction 16 the A500 head for Stoke-on-Trent and then Uttoxeter A50.
Donnington is just before you reach the M1 and is signposted on one of those brown signs. Takes about 1 hour 40.

I should be there around lunch for a quick spectate. Tim is on track with his blue RA T111 WRX and I think his mate is taking his 360 Ferrari! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Otis,

07:15 - we blanched at that time at Howden!!!

Methinks that we will arrive an hour or so
later to get to Donny for round about 10'ish
if you don't mind.

Looking forward to seeing all the cars on
track though.

Anyone know about parking at Donny.
I can remember on an earlier thread someone
mentioned about parking behind the pit lane??
Is this still on??

Cheers

Chris C.

Type R 12 February 2001 10:20 PM

Thanks Kevin, did not realise it was only 1H 40 mins. See you there.

You are more than welcome to come round for a few passenger laps.

Is Tim the guy who was with us last week ago Sunday ?

Matt
