What engine oil to use
 

Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone could advise me on the best grade and make of oil to use when servicing my car. Its a 2001 classic uk turbo totally standard engine apart from a different back box.

I would recommend 5w-40 fully synthetic.

I can second oilmans recommendation. Look at the opieoils website - it's a feast of info.

I got my last oil from opie and my local dealer was happy for me to supply my own oil to use when they did the last service.

Beware of 'pslewis' who has a habit of popping up on these oil related threads. He will advise you to buy 5 litres of 20/50 mineral comma oil for £3.42, the like of which I wouldn't have even put in my old Triumph.
