Tweaked Foresters?
Really getting into the idea of a well-sorted Forester to replace my Classic Scoob, - maybe one of those new Sti models that Lichfield are flogging.
Anybody got pics of (tastefully) modded /lowered/ or just plain tasty Foresters please? |
Saw a black tinted debadged STI Forester the other day (I'm assuming it was an STI, anyway, as it looked nicely OTT). Very VERY nice. I always like the Merc M Class round my way that's dressed in Gangster clothes, but to be honest this Forester wiped the floor with it looks-wise.

check out www.gtrydaz.com.au - I have a forester 2.0 XT. The forester takes most of the same parts as an impreza (year for year) and some breakers are bringing in hit foresters with mods from Japan.
I have had a few and found the suspension although high was best not lowered too much for what I needed so I bought japanese direct market Forester STi springs and used the standard shocks, which dropped the ride height around an inch and a half but improved the handling immensely. To counter the high ride height I tightened everything up with Whiteline anti roll bars and strut braces front and more importantly back. I also took care of the brakes! They will take Brembos on the front but not back but are well balanced up by single pots (wrx) on the back. You can also remap the ECU but even STi haven't taken their version of the forester past 265 bhp despite using the 2.5 engine. There is a world of advice in both forums..... some pics http://www.subaruforester.com/viewtopic.php?t=12350 http://www.subaruforester.com/viewtopic.php?t=12348 |
