please help matt If your cat is defo a V2, check the chassis code to confirm, then it should have a 6K ECU The ECU from the RB5 will defo NOT fit Best ECU for you to get is the fabled Z4, for its MAP is pretty close to a UK model ECU, or the 6K ECU from a 93-96 STI Grant |
people say a z4 is the best ecu cos it is near to uk ppp(is that a p1)
also that ecu comes of a wrx with 260, and my car is suposed to have 275 (but it has the wrong ecu) so when i fit a z4 would that give me more than a 6k |
The sticker on the ECU says U8.
U8 is a 240hp ECU that was fitted to the early 92-96 cars Your car should have a 275hp ECU, 6K sticker on outside Z4 has the closet MAP to a UK PPP car of the corresponding age RB5 and P1 ECUs will not fit your car if it is a Version 2 Grant |
i do have a sti v2 and it has a u8 so is only making it push out 240?
as you say it should have 275,so when i put the z4 in will that give me more, i now that the rb5/p1 ecu wont fit but wondered what the ppp meant thanks matt
