down pipe how much power
 

i have a decat centre and ninja back box and it has made the car much better but i wont to get a down pipe for it will make a lot of differance in power and performance or not

The right match of dp, centre and backbox can make a big difference in power and torque.

The art is find the right kit that works.

decat downpipe will release more power then decat center and turbo will spoool quicker, you can hear the turbo spool up after decat

going to have to get one then ,got the other parts from scoobyworld so would be best to get there down pipe

sti 360 are you happy with your ninja? been looking at doing this very mod myself?

got mine off ebay second hand cos it was much cheaper lucky me, forget how much i paid know anyway, ive got the ninja back box wich looks nice and sounds sweet and the centre decat pipe is the afterburner without the cat or the silencer which makes it louder,i love it
it was easy to fit all lined up nice ,makes a lot of differance to power and pick up

When I've replaced the dp I'm always amazed at the difference in torque & turbo spool up. Great mod. :)

Don't know if anyone knows but, how much louder will a DP make the exhaust?
I've got a Blitz Nur spec which is really loud anyway, don't really want it any louder, but i'm planning a down pipe for ther extra poke it'll give.

Earlier this year I decatted centre back and fitted a ninja BB (newage wrx 05) and although louder (mainly due to being used to OEM pea shooters..!) it was not over the top, just nice and deep. Dosen't drone on m'way but screams high up rev range..!;) Spool up seemed a little better and enging reved easier (I think)..?

I was conserned that removing up and down pipe cats would make it too noisy however the difference was negligable (sp?) if anything..! Performance wise, can't say it seemed any difference (I didn't push the car as remap was due two days later) however after mapping... WOW..!:)

Only thing that could be better with the Ninja BB is it hangs a little too low for my liking. I suppose the hangers could be bent down a little..?

my cars a classic sti v2 and after i put the centre and back box on i did a ecu reset and that helped

but if i put a downpipe on the car and with the new walbro 255 pump, should i need a remap or not with me ecu

i dont think i can do a lot with my ecu!
