It's a bit similar to the reasonably rare 1.6 2 door Sierra base model that was the only one to share the Cossie shell. If you remember the 2 door XR4i had different rear windows.

These are extremely rare; even in Japan..... They were introduced just over a year before the WRX Type-R.

Just goes to show how ugly the car can be with the wrong front bumper, no scoop, puney exhaust, steel wheels, and no rear spoiler :eek: :)

I quite like the looks of it. Compared to some European cars of the time it's all the right colour with no grey or black plastic crap hanging off it.

I bid on the only three that Ive ever noticed in auction in Japan, about a year ago. They look like the b*stard son of a Type-R and a 1.8GL but Im sure that theyd have sold for a lot more than they cost to land.....
