STI Oil Pressure ?

I have an 02 STI and it is fitted with Defi gauges.
I have never had an oil pressure gauge before so am not sure what readings to expect.
Once the car is pretty hot when driving the gauge reads about 6.5 kg/cm2(is this the same as bar?) but when idling when hot the gauge reads about 2.5,this seems a little low to me,should I be worried or is this normal? Once above 1000 rpm the pressure rises to above 4.

Depends on the viscosity of the oil you are using, but around 85+psi (5.7bar) cruising and 30psi (2bar) at idle are pretty normal.

Your pressure readings are normal. (Kg/cm2 = Bar).

I would only be worried if the oil pressure dropped to 1 Bar or lower. Coming into the pits after 15 or so minutes on track dropped my oil pressure to approx 1.6 Bar for a short while (untill it cooled down a bit). ;)

Thanks for putting my mind at rest,I will go and find another bit of the car to worry about now!!!

Quite normal as already posted by Norminski.
Pressure will drop as engine warms to full op. temp. Will be higher with 15/50 Motul than an 05-30 for instance.
