Tyres, tyres, tyres.....
I have done lost of reading / searching in the forum.
GSD3's / RE070 / Toyo R1 (or 1R's, can't remember) seem to be the front runners. I am swaying towards the GSD3's. But not sure about the "XL" one. I know the "XL" stands for extra load and has a stiffer side wall. Has anyone use the XL's? Worth the extra money? Can anyone tell me the benifits of the XL over standard? I have searched through the goodyear.co.uk web site, and for corporate web site standards, it is a pile of poo! TIA Buck |
Hey matey
Have had GDS3's and T1S's in the past year, now just swapped them for the T1R's. All are pretty much the same - though the Toyo's seem to last a bit longer and are generally cheaper by about £20 a tyre. (www.mytyres.co.uk) Not sure about the XL version - didn't know they did one Hope my 2p worth helps! ;) MB |
Got 225/40/18 GSD3 XL's on mine and they're more confident inspiring then my old 215/40/17 Toyo T1-S.
Then again I'm comparing a standard newage against my old manic STi Type R:D |
