been looking at buying a new graphics card and have a budget of £150, found this 1. was justing wondering what you tech minded guys and gals out there thought of it and if its any good? (its about £140 ish)

Also still worth looking at the Radeon 9800Pro which can be had new for
£80-£85 now :)

Indeed, OCuk have the 9800 Pro AIW for £82 inc VAT.

That was a £300 card, what, 18 months ago?

Depends what you want to play: the 9800 is a DX8 or 9.0 card and IIRC doesn't support 2.0 or 3.0 pixel shaders in hardware, along with some other recent DX features. The 6600GT is actually slightly slower on 3DMark2001, but goes ahead on 2003 because of full DX 9.0C compliance. So if you plan up-to-the-moment games the 6600 is probably the better bet.

You should be able to pick up the 256mb 6600gt for £140ish
