Good card, you'll probably find it a little cheaper in some places . . .
http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...ategory_id=126 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=85800 Also still worth looking at the Radeon 9800Pro which can be had new for £80-£85 now :) |

Depends what you want to play: the 9800 is a DX8 or 9.0 card and IIRC doesn't support 2.0 or 3.0 pixel shaders in hardware, along with some other recent DX features. The 6600GT is actually slightly slower on 3DMark2001, but goes ahead on 2003 because of full DX 9.0C compliance. So if you plan up-to-the-moment games the 6600 is probably the better bet.

You should be able to pick up the 256mb 6600gt for £140ish
If you can't source one locally, try microdirect ;) Paul |
