End of Summer BBQ !! With ESC & SCOOBYCITY .. B/Holiday Mon Aug 29th ...
 

OK guys, to round off what I think is going to be a great summer of ESC and SC events, we're going to be having an End of Summer barbecue on August Bank Holiday Monday (29th August).


For those Keen CAMPERS ( hi de hi ) That we have in the ESC , The pub has agreed that we are more than welcome to camp out on the Sunday Evening :notworthy

Bus as this is in theory the Landlords Back garden , He would like to meet all the campers beforehand ;) So please if you wish to pitch up your tent , Please arrive @ the Pub between 4pm & 7pm On the Sunday afternoon / Evening

There will be no partying like JAE ;) , But im sure that the company will be lots of fun :norty:

Please also add ( CAMPING ) Next to your name on the list ,m So that the Monday convoy will not be waiting for you

This will be held at "The Hop Poles" in Great Hallingbury, (Herts/Essex border). The "Hop Poles" is a village pub and is conveniently situated just 2 miles from junction 8 of the M11 (Stansted Airport).

I've provisionally said we'll have 50 cars there, but the facilities are superb, including a large paddock which can be opened up for us, so we could have up to 200 cars there! The pub is used to hosting car clubs, having recently had the Honda S2000 owners club there, and are an incredibly friendly and welcoming bunch.

The pub will lay on a full barbecue, at an anticipated cost of £7-8 per person. More details to follow.
Please , Please Bring along thre Children as we are planning lot's of fun & Games for them ;)

Of course the head turning Convoy will be arranged a little nearer the time :norty:

The pub is about two minutes from the M11 J8 (Birchanger Services) down the country lane opposite the Esso garage on the old Takeley/Dunmow road.

There is a reasonable sized car park out front but the main feature is the two large adjoining fields out back which you get to from the road via a nice wide 5 bar gate.There are picnic tables dotted about the grounds as well.
