why are some short shifters so cheep?
 
and some as much as £150? seen em on ebay realy cheep. are they dodgy or need to be modifyed to fit? can anyone tell me if theyre easy to fit in a classic scoob?

The ones on E-bay are just the lever itself which will work but can take a bit of removing and fitting but the ones from the dealer are the complete mechanism which requires you to have access underneath the car for correct fitting.

I have seen and used the £50 lever only units but wasnt convinced about the quality of use after they where fitted, granted they did shorten the throw but didnt 'feel' very good to use as they where all very notchy compared to standard and the Prodrive versions.

nice one ads will do. i had a drive in a mates type-r thursday (grimsby meet) it has a short throw group N box in it. felt totaly diffirent to mine. much less effort and more of a posotive feel to it.
