LL Avgas is low lead Avgas and lead will wreck the 'cat if you have one and won't do the sensors any good. DL

Thanks there are some issues with the Lambada sensor what is this

Is normal car fuel over there leaded anyway?

thaisoob 09 June 2005 10:23 AM

No its not leaded but 93 octane is about as good as it gets.If the cat gets wrecked its not a problem here as there are no emission control regulations here at least none that are enforced

AVGAS is generally 102 Octane "low lead" The low lead is a missnomer as far as the automotive fuel comparison is concerned. It is VERY high lead content and as explained above, it will quickly destroy your cat if you have one. The high lead content will also, in time, coat your lambda and effect its operation.
You could add Toluene or Methanol to the 93 octane or see how you get on with a stiff dose of NF octane booster.
Do you have a Knock Link fitted? It would be acceptable in your circumstances.
