Hmm, it depends on who you talk to about this. Some of the developers, from a chipset viewpoint have said that x86 is a very old, very cheap chipset, and certainly not as "nice" as, say, a PPC chip.

I think it's a good move, even if it means we need to put a lot of development into things (we had to do this when moving from OS 9 to OS X anyway). Intel is going to be way more productive in meeting yields and specs than IBM ever was. It'll also mean that powerbooks will finally get the massive speed bump they have been longing for.
