What would you buy

Right opinions please on what you would rather buy?

A 2004 04 WRX from a Subaru dealer for £16K to 17K?

or

A 2005 05 Import WRX for £16k plus a Cat 1 Alarm & Tracker?

I dont know what way to jump but the car would be used every day covering around 14000 miles a year and kept for 3 or 4 years.

Any opinions or thoughts are most welcome

Thanks

Al

Sorry the STI is out. The WRX is fine for my needs and i dont want the extra running costs of an STI

in that case if your only talking a years difference i'd choose the uk car! you'll be glad you did when it comes to serviceing, insurance etc

I agree, the UK car is the best bet, I had an import once (Not a scoob) and I always had to fight to get warranty work done, It just wasn't worth the hassle.

6 months ago I bought an EU 05 WRX £16500 and no problems wouldn't hesitate to do it again, however, given the current PPP offer from IM I'd try and get a deal on a new UK WRX..!

With the new model months away I've heard of people getting main dealers down to £18000 with PPP (some still do the 3 year free servicing too but perhaps not for £18k).

You won't get the EU sti style bucket seats however, just the 3ft wide uk/usa ones..!;)

I think running cost differences are minimal. Go for 2nd hand sti you won't regret it. Can always put wrx spoiler on and swap wheels.
