Weird Squeaking / Rumbling

I have an RB5 WR (not that, that matters)

Anyway, started recently this squeaking / rumbling. If I drive the car below about 80 MPH, no noise. However, If I take the car to about 100 MPH for about 5 mins, when I slow to 20 / 30 MPH I get this noise.

If you move the wheel to the left it disappears, if you move to the right it increases in noise. A mate has checked the wheel bearings, and they appear to be fine.

Does anyone have a clue what this could be please?

Thanks in advance, Phill

I had a similar problem and thought it was the pads as they were pretty low anyway. Changed them but noise was still there. A couple of days later I had to top up the power steering fluid and afterwards the noise completely disappeared!
