Positive feed for Head Unit

Hi,

Where is the ideal place under the dash to connect my head unit positive to?
It is fused to 20A.

I want to connect as close to battery as possible but would like to connect under dash.
Cheers,
R.

Wire directly to battery using 20amp wire (assuming you are after the constant feed).

Wire is around £3/4 from halfrauds.

Yep, connected directly to battery in the end with 20A fuse, went through bulkhead, found a grommet on passenger side.
Cheers,
R.

What's wrong with the original head unit feed? :)

R: your welcome mate

Brun: High output head units struggle to pull the power though the thin OE wires. If ever you turn up the head unit with the headlights on and the lights on the HU dim slightly with the music its because of the wiring

On the latest model, right hand drive cars have stereo feeds fused at 10A, but left hand drive's are fused at 15A.

What's that about? Anyway, both are too low to properly wire a stereo fused at 20A to...

I think the fag lighter's fused at 20A, but a dedicated feed is the way to go.
