New Phone Advice

looking for a new phone, as most are offered free on anew contract, looks like i will be doing that rather than upgrading, where they are trying to rip me off. so wat new phones have people got and how do they rate them, few i have looked at
Samsung D500
V3 raz-r black
new sony ericson
not sure on nokias, unsure as to which new models are currently out
any advice greatly appreciated
cheers

V3 is a very nice design but the spec is utterly pants compared to newer phones.

I just ordered a Sony Ericsson K750i from Orange, 2 Megapixel camera, RDS digital radio, SD card slot, etc etc.

I've got a V3, it's a bit pants, but it's so thin I can take it out on a night out and not have a massive bulge in my pants, trouser snake aside

DaveL001 30 May 2005 05:47 PM

wen i looked at o2 online, i saw that tariff, but there is somethina bout a £4 pound charge for a browser thing? is this something different to gprs based services?
also this talk of good tariffs is goog, but wat bout the phones?

EXSCOOBY 30 May 2005 06:10 PM

right
the easiest way is to wait till you are close to your months termination date
say your thinking of jumping ship and see waht deals they offer
the one i got pees on ANYTHING on the market

Daz34 30 May 2005 07:20 PM

I have the £30pm O2 online 200 deal (200mins 500 texts) and my contract is now up. I wanna keep this contract as it suits me & after looking at other network deals that are competitive they don't allow me to take my number across.
I want a new Sony Ericsson K750i. I very rarely go over my £30pm bill. Am I likely to get the upgrade for free?

106rallye 30 May 2005 09:41 PM

if you are already on O2 and due an upgrade they have offered me their 'discount' 500 package which is 500 mins free a month but also throwing in 300 texts all for £25 and almost any of the new hand sets! just tell them that you want to leave and see what they offer you!

Try Clubmobile on 3 ,750 mins x net,plus 150 txts for £4.49 a month on redemption a BARGAIN !!!!

ali_j 31 May 2005 10:09 AM

Get a new o2 payg sim and you can simply get 300 mins and text a month by topping up £30 and 200 for 20 quid 100 mins free for 10 quid
You still keep the money you topped up. I use the 100 mins one , it's so nice not having a contract and not topping up when u are away on holiday or whatever.
