overboost?

Got a hks induction kit, scoobyecu and hks bov fitted.
Just changed my plugs to pfr7's and was driving down the motorway in 5th,put my foot down and the car boosted up to about 15.5psi then started to miss i think and boost was wavering between 14 and 15.5 psi anyone any ideas what it could be.
Just changed the maf as it felt like it was missing on very partial throttle.
It didn't do it on the old maf do you think the new one is faulty?
It onlydid it on the motorway and in fifth at high speed.
Thanks for your help anyone:thumb:

It is possible the new MAF is faulty. Was it brand new? Have you tried putting the old one back on?

What gap size have you set the plugs too?

You could have cracked the coil packs by overtightening them or they could have been buggered already and you may have not noticed and disturbing them could have made it worse.

Its a my94 wrx
It was a second hand maf.
I set the plug gap to 0.7mm.
Haven't tried putting old maf back on yet.
Think i'll try maf first as its the easiest.
Thanks for your input everyone:)

It could be that your hitting your boost limiter in gear, they are around 15.5-16 psi on the older cars, dropping back to 14psi would be the safety kicking in.
Did you have this problem before your mods?

I don't really do a lot of motorway driving so wouldn't really know.I've done all the mods recently and the cars been off the road for a bit.
When i bought the scoobyecu it was supposed to be a 15.5psi map though so i wouldn't have thought it was a fuel cut.

I thought this initially, but Jason described it as missing. Mind you, my mates description of overboost was exactly the same. When I drove it, I nearly knocked myself out on the steering wheel when it cut out.
