Has anyone driven both Toyo T1-R and the new Bridgeston RE070?
 

Like the title, i was wondering about the difference 'feel' wise of the T1-R compared to the new RE070's.
Anyone driven both please post here..................

Haven't driven on the T1-R yet, although I don't like the T1s which I presume is an inferior tyre to the R.

I do, however, love the RE070s. Excellent in the dry, surprisingly good in the wet, a touch 'nervous' in the damp though but 'entertaining' rather than dangerous if that makes sense. Your biggest problem with the 70s is the lack of size choice.

Currently running 070 on 02WRX STANDARD rims, which Subaru where unsure of!

I have T1-R's all round, having Potenza 050's (back) and 070's (front).

070 were a bit scary in the wet but brilliant in dry, T1-R's are great all round(especially standing water and greasy roads).
Overall, I think the Toyos edge it all round, but if the weather was nice all year round, I would have the Potenzas.

050's on the back and 070s on the front? I take it you really wanted to have a major accident mixing tyres like that?

Have always had bridgestone so2 PP,s then re070 love them al currently running T1-R came as part of wheel deal - nervous in wet - will be going back to the better all round and longer wearing bridgestone's

No major winner i feel, as they both excel in their own ways from what you have all said.
Just another side point, do the stick on balance weights actually exist?
Only, what with Subaru garage, and then later, i have only ever been given lovely 'rim wrecking' hammer on weights, which look ****. Is this right? (stock 17" subaru rims)

Stick on weights certainly do exist and it's criminal to use hammer on ones with alloys IMO. Insist on the self adhesive ones.

Hands down the Toyo's are better tyres, if you really push your car (and if you dont why have a Scooby?) in the wet the Bridgstones are scary, no contest get the Toyo's. Cheers paul

Toyos are excellent in all conditions !
