new front discs for 03 sti ... ideas
Just done my second set of front discs on my 03 sti+ppp.
2nd set i had were standard brembo replacements (non-grooved) , i used ds2500s with them and they worked well - lasted 30k. I 've just bought some EBC redstuff pads and wondered what discs to get next .... any recomendations on grooved, drilled ... price/performance compared with the regular ones ? cheers, mark. PS ... couldn't find anything notable on a search in this section. |
Some dealers will replace discs under warranty, on the basis that they should last more than 3 years or 36k. I had mine (WRX 4pots) replaced a few weeks back free  and the mechanic who told me about it confided that they have one customer with an STi who has a set every 7-8 months

Have you looked at the AP's disks that Scoobymania are selling for the STI ?
They have separate bells & disks so should be less liable to warping. Also cheaper to replace in the future. Mark |
Another vote for DBA discs, had all round on my 02 STi, with braided hoses and DS2500's, superb stopping power over and over. :)

Godspeed also do discs for this model , in either a one piece disc or a 2 piece disc and bell

i bought the EBC turbo grooved with redstuff pads ... i'll see how they go :)
