Nissan Skyline

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the R32 GTR and R32 GTR-V-SPEC and similarly the R33 GTR and R33 GTR-V-SPEC.

Not looking for differences between the R32 and R33 just what difference the V-SPEC adds.

Cheers

Chris

V-Spec adds a slight faster ATTESSA controller that reacts 1000 times a second against 100. Slightly lower and harder suspension. Active rear diff.

Thats about it that makes any difference. Most people on the Skyline boards who have had or driven both say you'll never tell on a road (and that the non V in fact makes a better UK road car), and that those changes will pretty much only be apparant at the cars limits on a track.

Full details here mate:

I thank you :)

So don't really need to pay a premium for a V-spec if I can find a decent GTR ?

Was out in a mates R34 GTR V-spec today - very nice. Stage 1 tuned and damn thats quick. Would love to see one of these 700bhp beasties.

Didnt the R34 vspec get the computer console in the centre of the dash over non v-spec? I guess they didnt have these on the R33?

Simon.

Chris - no mate, it really doesn't make enough difference unless you plan a lot of track time. Most GTR's have lowered suspension anyway so it negates that extra anyway! Just find the best example you can and don't be too worried if its V or not :)

P1 - No the R33 didn't have the MFD display, its pretty cool! All R34 GTR's had it though, V or not.................

I know someone who is selling a really nice R34 GTR (non V-Spec) that has been midly tuned. Let me know if you want any details.

Would love an R34 but I sincerely doubt that I can afford it. I'll probably be lucky to get 12K for my scooby, can add about another 8K to that. Haven't seen an R34 for under 25K :(

I'm hoping to pick up a R33 maybe with a few bits on it already for about 13-14K and then have a few pennies left to get it up to circa 400-450bhp.

R34 is my dream car but it's just out of reach unfortunately :(

The R32 V-Spec had 17" BBS wheels with Brembo brakes.
Have a look on www.prospec-ms.co.uk click on about GTR at the bottom, loads of details about the different models and different specs.
