Hi guys

Last time I bought mine from japanparts.com

They have quoted £45 all in, delivered in 10-15 days.

I've seen that some previous group buys achieved £39, but these guys wouldn't match. Sorry I've tried and failed miserably :(

What's the normal price from UK suppliers?

about £47 + VAT :(

Subarussian 02 June 2005 12:27 AM

Hmm... So sounds like my price is not so bad after all. If anyone is interested you can order your filter at www.japanparts.com

They offer 5% discount on 15+ filters so for the sake of £2 I don't think it's worth the hassle...

Hope this helps.

Danny as stated earlier you might as well just buy one as the discount is not worth the hassle.

For you information did you read I think the 3rd issue of ScoobyMag?????

They did a section of filters and tested the standard paper one, sti and green one. The sti actually lost power compared to the standard one but the green one increased slightly over standard.

I replaced mine yesterday while having a service for the green one cost £45 and wow what a difference just from a filter.
Car now pulls much much stronger.

Well worth doing Green Cotton Panel Filter recommended :thumb:

GaryCat 16 June 2005 10:22 PM

Where did you get the Green Cotton filter from?

vindaloo 17 June 2005 12:30 AM

Scoobymag...

It was issue one...

Tested air filters in the standard airbox.

1) Std filter (10K in the car)
2) New std filter.
3) Sti item.
4) Green item.

Might have been a more useful if they'd manometered either side of the airbox. i.e. inlet side, outlet side to provide an idea of the permiability (is that an English word?).

J.

I emailed Simon at STI Racing last week and he has yet to reply. Any other companies supply at a decent price?

Well I'm definitely interested if you can find a supplier. Other thing is, how do I know when it needs replacing? I just checked mine and it was a bit grimy, so I hoovered it out!
