Legacy 2.5 manual..good tow car?

anyone know if a legacy 2.5 est maunual a good tow car ?? anyone any idea on limits etc ??????????looking to pull about a ton and a bit!

Straight from the handbook....(current model though)

Max permissible vehicle weight - 2,010kg - Max permissible rear axle weight - 1.170kg for the 2.5.

Never towed with mine - think it would be fine - only thing is that the torque peak is maybe a bit high if you were towing big loads.
